Design Ferry Meewisse and Tom Dissel

A drinking carton inspired designers Ferry Meewisse and Tom Dissel to design the latest item in the Gelderland collection.

They were intrigued by the folded form and developed the Particle, a leather stool. Ferry applied the special folding technique earlier for his successful line of bags. Tom is a young talent who recently achieved the Elle Decoration Talent Award 2011. Together they like to transform unexpected discoveries into a practical application.

The stool is made out of one piece of leather. Because of the special way of folding and stitching there is hardly any loss of material. The stool is available in two colors semi-aniline leather wax. The stool is perfect to use beside the couch and can also be used actively at the dining table.
